In my work I seek to create beauty by breaking down the natural world into pattern and design. My background in horticulture and floral design play a pivotal role in my choice of subject matter. My education in ecology and geography has helped train my eye to analyze nature’s complex and simple forms. Working primarily as a printmaker, I am always drawing, snapping photos and painting to capture new ideas for my work. I also draw inspiration from the work of German expressionists, the decoration of art nouveau and various contemporary street artists.
